Lonya Robertson
Lonya Robertson was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, and grew up in Little Rock before making Benton her home, where she has lived for almost 40 years. She has been happily married to Dustin for almost 31 years and is the proud mother of her son, Peyton, his wife, Maddie, and her daughter, Keeli. She also treasures her role as grandmother to her granddaughter, Rose.
Lonya is a nationally certified American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter and a dedicated Deaf education teacher. Throughout her career in special education, she has been passionate about helping students develop the communication, academic, social, and emotional skills they need to succeed. Her commitment to serving Deaf and hard of hearing students, along with her love for education, has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless students and their families.
Lonya is a faithful member of Northside Church of Christ, where she enjoys worship, fellowship, and serving alongside her church family. She also enjoys teaching the 4- and 5-year-old Bible class, helping young children build a strong foundation of faith through Bible stories, songs, and hands-on learning.
It is a privilege for Lonya to serve on the BTBD Board, where she has the opportunity to invest in the next generation.
